The Customer Service Department is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Pacific Time).  It is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays.  When placing an order by phone, please be ready with the following information: Kit number, builder's name, part number(s), quantities(s), and preferred method of payment and shipment.  Processing of orders placed without all this information at hand are likely to be delayed.

Terms of Payment

All orders must be pre-paid by check, money order or bank electronic fund transfer. However, Visa/MasterCard is accepted for all required kit deposits (10%) and option orders up to $3,000.00.  We regret that we are unable to accept Discover or American Express.  All orders made with a credit card must include the credit card expiration date. 

Minimum Order Fee: Orders for merchandise totaling less than $25.00, not including shipping and handling, will be rounded up to a minimum order amount of $25.00.

Shipping

Unless otherwise specified, all domestic shipments will be made by United Parcel Service (UPS) size and weight permitting, with shipping and handling charges paid by the purchaser.   Note: A street address with zip or postal code is required for UPS shipments. We also need to know whether the address is a residence or business address.

Crating Fee: Some of the larger items in this catalog require special crating (as noted), for which a charge will be made.  Note:  If you are purchasing an aircraft kit, we suggest that you order as many options and accessories as possible prior to kit delivery.  In most instances, there will be no additional shipping charge for items that can be crated and delivered with your kit.

Rush Shipment: When you need an order quickly, call and request rush shipment.  Rush orders must be received by 10:00 AM (Pacific Time) and must be manageable in size.  Once we receive your call, and have confirmed that your parts are in stock, for a fee of $25.00, we will assure your order is shipped the same day.  Orders received after 10:00 AM can be guaranteed shipment on the following working day for the same $25.00 fee.

International Orders International shipments are subject to certain limitations and special terms outlined in our International Shipping Policies statement; copies of which are available on request.  In brief, all orders will be shipped by United Parcel Service unless the customer specifies an alternate means every time he or she places an order.   Glasair Aviation, LLC accepts no responsibility for any overseas freight charges incurred.  Note:  No resin or any other chemicals can be shipped air freight.

Damage Or Shortage

Upon receipt, each package should be opened immediately and the contents inspected for damage or shortage.  Check the contents against the packing list(s).  Items out of stock at the time of shipment will be marked as "backordered".  If an item is missing and not backordered, notify us immediately of the discrepancy.   Claims for missing items must be reported to us within 30 days of receipt.   Damage incurred in transit is the responsibility of the shipping company.   If a shipment arrives in a damaged condition, have the driver note the damage and file a claim with the carrier.

Returns

All returned goods are subject to a 20% restocking charge and must be returned in "as new" condition, with the protective materials and/or packaging in which they were delivered.   No returns will be accepted after 30 days from date of shipment.  Returns must be shipped pre-paid.  No returns will be accepted without a Return Merchandise Authorization number - this RMA number may be obtained by calling Customer Service.  Damaged merchandise or merchandise used by the purchaser, is subject to inspection and adjustment by the manufacturer; such merchandise will not be accepted for refund unless it is found to be defective due to inadequacies in materials or workmanship and is covered by the original manufacturer's or vendor's warranty, if applicable.

Product Warranty

As is set forth more fully in your purchase agreement, the GlaStar is an experimental aircraft, which has not been certified to FAR Part 23 or other design standards.  Glasair Aviation, LLC does not provide a warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose in regard to the aircraft design.  Should any part of the aircraft design prove defective, the purchaser will be liable for the entire cost of servicing, repair or correction.

All items not manufactured by Glasair Aviation, LLC are warranted by the manufacturer. Thus, customers are required to return any such defective items or parts to the manufacturer, not to Glasair Aviation, LLC.

Parts and accessories manufactured by Glasair Aviation, LLC are manufactured to our specifications. Thus, Glasair Aviation, LLC provides a limited warranty stating that any part or accessory manufactured by Glasair Aviation, LLC which fails to meet our specifications, or if any component part fails to perform the function intended by Glasair Aviation, LLC, Glasair Aviation, LLC will replace or repair the part, at its option, for one year from date of purchase.  Note: Purchaser is liable for any shipping charges associated with the repair or replacement of the defective part.
