Having worked for Glasair for nearly three years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to have so much time flying the Sportsman in all landing gear configurations, weight loads, and flying very long distances. The performance and comfort of the Sportsman is unmatched by any other airplane I have ever flown or owned in over 25 years. My wife and I fell it love with it and when the Two Weeks to Taxi program became available, I became a customer. 

I learned so much in the program that I now have the confidence to maintain the airplane that I would have never had otherwise. Before coming to work here at Glasair Aviation and building the Sportsman, I owned a Glasair that I did not build. 

Every weekend in the summer I always tried to get my wife to join me in flying somewhere and she would always say she wanted to go to the mountains and go camping and that just would not work with the little speedster airplane.

So as corny as it sounds, now I can “KILL TWO STONES, WITH ONE BIRD”. I get her to go flying and she gets me to go camping.
